Bladder Cancer Surgeries

Robotic nerve-sparing radical cystectomy

Radical cystectomy should be performed surgically in bladder tumors with muscle involvement. In other words, the bladder must be completely removed, the lymph nodes adjacent to the bladder must be removed, and an artificial intestinal bladder must be created in place of the removed bladder. This surgery is generally performed with open surgery. Open surgery is a very difficult procedure for the patient. Hospital stay is 7-10 days. However, robotic radical cystectomy provides more comfort, less bleeding and less hospital stay for the patient.
