The complete removal of a cancerous kidney is called radical nephrectomy, while the removal of only part of the kidney is called partial nephrectomy. Ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction is a condition in which narrowing occurs at the junction between the kidney and the ureter. This narrowing may be congenital or develop later in life. Robotic surgery offers technical advantages, particularly enhanced visualization and precise instrument movements, which can facilitate reconstruction of the narrowed area.
